Nightlingerson as the days shorten and the cool breath of fall drapes the land and changes leaves to gold. The sounds of sleep fill the house as Mother sleeps in this morning and enjoys sleep that eludes me. After the last time up and back to bed I am unable to return to slumber so I am up doing things in this quiet time. Patterns are changing again as Mother’s path continues toward her destination, whatever that will be. More time is spent in her world of imagination and her activity to carry out what instructions she receives has become for her a job to be done. Now, even with people in close proximity she retreats more into her mind. Her health is good and her body strong in spite of her difficulty in walking. It becomes harder to find things that anchor her to the world around her and she drifts away quicker than before. So I try to make sure she is comfortable and enjoys her days the most she can.
The art is moving so slowly to me but moving nevertheless. The large pond painting has changed and now the reflections on the water appear as wings of some great butterfly glisten and translucently hover on the surface. The trees are slowly acquiring leaves and reacting with the sky in a gentle dance. The pond painting of the rocks, water and reflections have a dusting of leaves sitting on the surface. The yellows and yellow-greens vibrate with the warm oranges and rusts to invoke an autumn song. Other works are still in the stages of becoming and as yet remain cocooned till they are ready to break forth. The garden and the fish pond are also changing their garb and preparing for the coming winter. These images also fill my mind and begin to seep into the art.
Hope you are finding the inspiration that enriches your life and impacts your heart. That you can see the change and find in it a beauty and strength that helps you grow. That each day offers some new view that fills you with hope. That peace will inhabit your thoughts and actions. That you will balance solitude with community. That the needs of others will be your needs as well. That you will make things better than you found them and people will matter to you.
